Tax Policy (United States Only)

This Tax Policy explains how sales tax is handled for purchases made on Luxio Wear when the shipping address is located within the United States. It describes when and how sales tax is collected, how it appears at checkout, and what to do for tax-related questions or refunds.


1. When we collect sales tax

We collect sales tax on orders shipped to addresses in U.S. states where Luxio Wear has a sales tax obligation ("nexus"). Nexus may be created by: having a physical presence, a third-party warehouse, a marketplace facilitator requirement, or other activities as defined by state law. If your shipping address is in a state where sales tax applies, the appropriate state and local sales tax will be calculated and added to your order at checkout.

2. How sales tax is calculated

  • Sales tax is calculated based on the shipping address and applicable state and local tax rates at the time of purchase.

  • The tax amount is displayed separately in your shopping cart and on the checkout page before you complete payment.

  • Product prices displayed on our site do not include sales tax; tax is shown during checkout.

3. Marketplace facilitator and third-party sellers

If you purchase items fulfilled by a third-party seller or a marketplace facilitator appears on our site, the marketplace may be responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax for that transaction. In such cases, sales tax will still appear at checkout, and the tax collection is handled according to the marketplace’s policy.

4. Exemptions and resale certificates

  • If you are exempt from sales tax (for example, a resale certificate or other valid exemption), you must provide a valid exemption certificate to Luxio Wear prior to purchase.

  • Exemption certificates are reviewed and accepted at our discretion and in accordance with state regulations.

  • To submit an exemption certificate, please email our Tax Support team at support@luxiowear.com with a scanned copy of your certificate and your order details.

5. Sales tax refunds and returns

  • If you return an item and receive a refund, the portion of the sales tax attributable to the returned merchandise will be refunded in accordance with applicable state law once the return is processed and approved.

  • If a tax refund is required, we will issue it to the original payment method or as a store credit, depending on the circumstances and the state rules.

6. Out-of-state orders and use tax

  • If you live in a state where sales tax was not collected on your order, you may still be responsible for paying use tax directly to your state tax authority. This policy does not remove your obligation to comply with local and state tax laws.

7. Order invoices and tax documentation

  • An itemized invoice showing the sales tax charged is included with your order confirmation email and is available in your account order history.

  • If you need additional tax documentation for accounting or tax filings, contact support@luxiowear.com and include your order number and specific request.

8. Changes to this policy

Luxio Wear may update this Tax Policy to reflect changes in tax laws or our business practices. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be communicated to customers via email.
